TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been involved in public education since 1993. I became a paraprofessional and worked in that capacity while earning my education degree. Then, I became a teacher and I have been teaching primary grades for 22 years. Before that, I taught private piano lessons for 20 years. I am now teaching 1st grade and I love every minute of it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to keep my students as engaged as possible during instructional time. Therefore, I'm very hands on in all that I teach. I teach in such a way that I want my students to think independently and take ownership of what they learn. I'm a firm believer in allowing my assessments to drive my instruction. Differentiation is the key to my students to become the best learners they can be.
