In the classroom, I believe there is a correlation between the teacher’s level of enthusiasm and how much the students learn. I consider myself as a language-as-expression teacher. As such, the students come first. They need language skills to better understand themselves and the world around them. The study of language and literature crosses so many disciplines. A solid background in these subjects provides students with much needed communication skills. I want to provide my students with the tools to tackle whatever they may come across in their lives. Learning how to communicate effectively will bring them through many tough challenges in their lives.
