TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an Elementary School Library Media Specialist in New Jersey public schools since 2011. I manage two to three media centers each year and have taught pre-k to 5th grade students including ESL and special education classes.

MY TEACHING STYLE

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

During my graduate study I was awarded the NJLA Sarah B. Askew Scholarship. As a Douglass College Student I received the Margaret Denton Wagner Fellowship and was also a Phi Beta Kappa and Lambda Pi Eta Honors Organization member during my time at Rutgers University.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Sociology. My major GPA was 4.0 and overall was 3.9. After finishing my undergraduate work, I completed a Master of Library and Information Science degree with a 3.9 GPA at Rutgers University's School of Communication and Information. I also completed additional education-based coursework and received my certification to become a School Library Media Specialist.
