TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught English Language Arts at the middle school level since 2007. While earning my master's degree, I had the opportunity to teach lower division writing courses at the university level. For the last several years I've also worked as a mentor teacher, coaching student teachers as they begin their journey into teaching, and I've also worked as a curriculum specialist, designing English curriculum for my department and taking a leadership role in department and staff professional development. Previous to my formal teaching experience, I've worked as a teacher's assistant at the middle school level, a reading tutor at the elementary school level, and a classroom assistant at a developmental center.
