Learning Harbor Resources for Teachers

My favorite quote is "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." by Walt Disney. The vast majority of my experience is in kindergarten and first grade. I have also taught third grade and fourth grade. While teaching in South Carolina, I served as team leader for three different teams, a k - 2 combined team, a kindergarten team, and a third grade team. I also served as a cooperating teacher for student teachers from the University of South Carolina. While teaching in Texas, I served as a mentor to many education students from Texas State University.

I believe that the teacher must use a variety of methods and materials in order the reach each child. In order to be effective, materials must capture the child's interest. It is my hope that through creating materials for TPT, I can help teachers meet the sometimes overwhelming goal of providing materials to meet each student's interest, need, and learning style. I also want to provide materials that parents or tutors might want to use.

I presented at the South Carolina Association For The Education Of Young Children Conference. I am certified as a Texas Master Reading Teacher.
