I believe children should be actively engaged in rigorous learning activities that meet academic standards and they should be enjoying the challenge set before them.
I have been hired by outside school districts and educational companies to provide professional development for teachers. I believe it is important to collaborate with others and share the expertise, effort and enthusiasm we have for teaching.
I have a Master's degree in Literacy with an emphasis in teaching reading. I have been trained to teach Reading Recovery as an early intervention. I have also had hundreds of hours of training and professional development in mathematical teaching strategies.
I believe in continuous learning for both myself and my students. I am always looking for best practices and I'm willing to share what I've learned with other teachers in order to reach even more students.
