By day, I teach ESL in a public elementary school. I'm always working to connect important language forms and vocabulary to the content standards at each elementary grade level. By night, I teach adult ESL classes at my local library. I work to make grammar and vocabulary relevant to living as an immigrant in an English speaking society. I also taught children and adult EFL classes for two years in beautiful Costa Rica.
Language learning needs context! Whether it's the context of grade level content, a social situation, or a grammar-filled game, the context gives the language a purpose.
