I have been teaching English as a second/foreign language since 2015. I've taught all ages, but I'm most experienced in teaching adults and university students. Currently, I teach adult students both online and in-person through my small business.
My main priority with my students is fostering a comfortable learning environment to give learners a safe space to experiment and even make mistakes with the language. I've noticed that this "safe space" philosophy is the best way to help my students increase their speaking confidence, which is the #1 concern for my students. To create a safe space for students, I use a lot of smiling and positive talk in my own behaviors. My resources reinforce a safe space by giving learners options and room for creativity.
I received a 4.0 GPA for my work as a master's student through the years of 2017-2019. This was no easy feat, but it was exhilarating all the same!
I graduated from Kent State University in 2016 with my bachelor's in Teaching English as a Second Language. Later, in 2019, I received my master's in Teaching English as a Second Language.
My favorite part of creating resources is testing them with students and reflecting on their effectiveness. The resources I present on this TPT page are tried and true. I hope they serve you and your students well!
