After graduating salutatorian of Glenvar High School, Kurtis went on to attend Virginia Tech, and receive a Bachelor's degree in Finance, while minoring in Music.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

In 2005, Kurtis Parks appeared as a top 50 finalist on American Idol. Since then, the passion to make music that makes a difference has inspired Parks to front the Christian Rock band The Season, and recently to break off into a solo career as a worship leader and songwriter in Nashville, AKA Music City! Taking his mom's advice (who is also a 3rd grade teacher in Virginia), Kurtis is reaching a whole new audience with his catchy, fun, and easy-to-memorize songs about the multiplication tables. Kurtis says Math was one of his favorite subjects as a kid, and it only makes sense to write some songs about it.
