TEACHING EXPERIENCE

2 years in 6th grade math. Student teaching with 5th grade, all areas. Life experience...way too much :)

MY TEACHING STYLE

Fun..I like to include funny word problems, videos and hooks to make it more interesting. Fast...I switch gears often, going from teacher-led to student-led. I am wading through Eureka-land and building a lot of scaffolds that are very beneficial to my students.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am a single mother of four, one of which has Asperger's syndrome. Daily struggles of life have helped me become creative with teaching styles and approaches to students. I am not a "cutesy" teacher, although I love their creations. You'll find helpful material that is filling in the gaps I am finding in Eureka Math.
