TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught in public high schools for 20 years, both suburban and inner-city. During this time, I have authored three separate years of curricula and have mentored several teachers. I believe my educational experience has prepared me for my next professional endeavor: writing, teacher mentoring, coaching.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I truly believe that cooperative learning enables students to take a more active role in their learning. They also retain a great deal more information when they learn in a "hands-on" approach. Teacher-directed instruction works to some degree, but cooperative learning achieves outstanding results.
