TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently about to begin my 4th year teaching. I have been a third grade teacher since I began teaching at the same school I did my internship at.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love creating and finding hands on learning activities that apply to all students. In 3rd grade I believe it is super important that students have choice in the work that they complete. This helps students feel proud and accountable for their work! I teach Math, Reading, Science and Social Studies. We complete reading centers every day and math centers once a week!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I attended Haywood County Schools in Brownsville, Tennessee from K-12th grade. After graduation I attended Mississippi State University where I majored in Elementary Education. During my time at MSU I fell in love with Starkville, which is why I decided to stay and teach there!
