TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an FM radio disc jokey, a 2nd grade classroom teacher, a dance teacher, airborne traffic reporter, K-5 ELL instructor, cake decorator, video rental manager and, oh yeah, and an early elementary art teacher for the last 16 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My art teaching approach is holistic. All areas of the curriculum are present in art so my students learn about literacy, math, science, history and culture in tandem with art. ALL my art lessons are relevant to the young child's experiences. I develop many Powerpoint presentations to guide the lesson and provide instructions and models of the project.
