I started my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher, and soon after became a kindergarten teacher for 16 years. In addition, I have taught 1st and 2nd grades.

I believe that all kids should be given opportunities to practice (whatever it is that they are learning) from the learning modality that best fits them. I have a natural ability for creating, therefore, I provide lots of visuals whether it be drawings, hands on manipulatives to demonstrate/model, and/or simply acting it out. My philosophy of teaching is simple ... creating an environment in which my students feel that can learn from their mistakes, can learn from one another, and can be successful at whatever they do.
