I have been teaching for 10 years. It really should be more like 25 years. My mom convinced me to major in business when I graduated from high school. I worked in corporate - sales and marketing. After 15 years I went back to school to become a teacher. I love what I do. Oh, and by the way ----the mother who persuaded me to do otherwise is a twice retired teacher - Go Figure!!! She was more concerned about finances which I completely understand.
I will refrain from using a text book answer. I feel like I can be all over the place because kids are all so different and their needs are as well. Like most teachers, my brain churns in the middle of the night thinking about students. I am very flexible and willing to try new things in the classroom. I really enjoy hearing students say that they can't wait for math or that math is their favorite subject. It's mainly because I've worked to make it fun and engaging. They same the same about reading! Above all else, I teach with LOVE!
