I student-taught third grade in 2007. I started teaching on my own in 2008. I taught second grade in a Catholic school for two years before moving to a local public school. I taught first grade for one year and I am now teaching second grade, which I love!
I try to create a challeging, nurturing environment for my students. I have high expectations for everyone in my room, including myself. I do my best to assess and meet the individual needs of my students through a variety of lessons and activities. Students are encouraged to try their best, make mistakes and push themselves beyond their comfort zones.
