TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I received my degree In Elementary Education from Western Michigan University. I moved to Florida in 2007 to teach 4th grade. I then transferred to middle school where I've taught 7th grade Science, 6-8th grade Social Studies, 7th-grade Civics, and Course Recovery. I currently am teaching 6th Grade World History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching styles change from year to year. I am always adjusting based on what works best for my students to be successful. I have found project-based learning has been the most successful over the past few years.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I went through Elementary, Middle, and High School in Brighton, Michigan. I graduated in 2001. From there I went onto Western Michigan University where I majored in Elementary Education. I have a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and Educational Technology from American College of Education.

I am a mother to two beautiful children. My son is 12 and my daughter is 9. They are the greatest joys in my life! I am also a wife to a retired Amy Reserve soldier.
