TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching at my current public high shool for 9 years and for 14 years overall. I have experience in in all aspects of the high school language arts curriculum. I mostly teach 10th (World literature) and 11th (American literature) grade language arts and A.P. Language and Composition. I have also taught courses in theater, journalism, film studies, and desktop publishing.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal is to help student learn to think and evaluate the world for themselves. I wish public schools offered courses in logic and reasoning. Overall, if students cannot think, they usually cannot achieve the higher goals we set in a particular curriculum. I enjoy bringing in my experience in theater to student assignments and I love to use technology and intergrate it often in my lessons.
