TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've been teaching 12 years here in Oregon in grades five and six.

MY TEACHING STYLE

It is important to provide students with the tools necessary to discover on their own. I see myself being a facilitator who helps "light that fire" and fostering an environment that leads students to ask questions of one another. It is my goal for students to leave my room with a passion for learning along with gained self-confidence and the motivation to help them succeed in life.

I currently have my bachelor's degree in education with a master's degree in curriculum and instruction. Along with my degrees, I have a basic math endorsement for grades 5-10.

I have been married to my wife for almost 12 years (been with her 17). Luckily, she is also a teacher so we are able to do a lot of collaboration. :) I also have two beautiful daughters ages 7 and 5.
