I have taught English Language Arts and Dramatic Arts in a public high school setting for 6 years. I also develop educational material to accompany productions at a number of local theatre companies.
I like to give my students as much hands on experience as possible, especially in my performing arts classes. My classroom is an open, honest environment where, I hope, my students feel safe to experiment and make mistakes.
Kennedy Center Irene Ryan Award Nominee - 2003, 2004, 2005 Best Director of a Play, Mainstage Center for the Arts - 2013 Best Overall Technical Production - Burlington County Footlighters - 2016

I am deeply passionate about helping students develop a personal aesthetic in terms of drama and literature. Perhaps not all of my students will go on to pursue theatre or writing and that is fine. My goal is for them to be able to read books or attend shows and to be able to use content specific language to explain their point of view on the work.
