Jenn's MFL resources

I am a former French and Spanish teacher in the UK, and have taught in a variety of different secondary schools (age 11-16 here), as well as private tuition from age 5 to adult. I had to leave teaching because of illness, but I still enjoy working creating resources that can be used in the classroom. I was always highly praised on my use of ICT in the classroom, and would like to pass on this experience so it is beneficial for those who are less skilled with the use of ICT. I am also aware of the time contraints on teachers, and how long it can take to produce a good quality resource, so I hope my prior work, and current work can help to save you some time, and help you achieve a better work life balance. As I am British, the English used in my resources is standard English, not American spelling, and my Spanish is Castilian Spanish, rather than Latin American.

I studied French and German at GCSE (school leavers' exams at age 16), and carried onto AS level with both, plus Spanish the following year. I then dropped German, and continued onto A level (advanced level, exams at 18) with French and Spanish, before going on to study both at university. This included time in both French and Spanish speaking countries (I worked as a language assistant at a French speaking school in Brussels, then spent a term as an Erasmus student at the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain). After graduating I went on to do my teacher training.

After having to leave teaching I have worked in a customer service role, providing customer service in both French and Spanish, so have excellent experience of communicating with native speakers, and also using both languages (written and spoken) in a business environment.
