Jennifer Tollefson

I am a fourth year teacher who teaches English, Math and Life Skills at a private school in Florida. Our school specializes in individualized education for all students. About 70% of our students have special needs. I have also developed a transition program called, The Swanky Swine (www.swankyswine.com). We have our catering license and teach our students job and life skills through a school store and weekly shifts in a commercial kitchen. My students are high functioning so I've had to create most of my own curriculum to meet their needs.

I am a collaborative teacher. I look for ways to meet the needs of every student in my classroom. Due to the uniqueness of each class, my curriculum needs are constantly changing.

I have a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee and experience in non-profit management. I got into the educational field through job skills and transition services. I fell in love with the students and find purpose in helping each of my students develop their own unique calling.
