I've had a very interesting jounrney as an educator, which includes homeschooling for over a decade and teaching various public school subjects with an age range from pre-k through 8th grade. I started my career teaching K-5 Music, 8th grade Drama, AND 7th grade Conflict Resolution for four years. Then I left teaching to have my first baby ... only to end up homeschooling my kids through 8th grade (so through Algebra 1). I finally got back into the public school system, taught k-5 general music -- and now I'm teaching 7th grade math!
I'm very eclectic (as you can see from my experience!) and often very literature-focused and game-focused. I don't want to be bored any more than the students do, and generally speaking, if we're a specific activity, it's because I genuinely LIKE that activity myself!

I play the piano professionally (mostly at weddings), have written and published 3 books, and like to crochet and do yoga and Pilates. I admit it, I love to watch TV: Some of faves are The Good Place, Friends, Seinfeld, Parks & Rec, Community, Arrested Development, and The Simpsons.
