TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I'm a published, inspirational romance author who has taught elementary education for 8 years. My author website is www.jaynamorrow.com and my Christian romance novels are available there and at all major online retailers. My teaching journey began with a year in PreK, followed by 6 years in Kindergarten. Last year, I made the move to 4th grade and taught Reading and Texas Social Studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is project-based and data-driven. As a professional writer, creativity is essential in my world. I love all things artsy and imaginative. I enjoy teaching my students using art projects and other creative methods.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I've had the honor of presenting at a Young Writers workshop with legendary children's author, John Archambault. Chicka, chicka, boom, BOOM! It's been a pleasure working with many talented authors over the years. I look forward to the release of my first children's book - Git Up You Lazy Cowboy - which is currently being illustrated and has been endorsed by the Sons of the Pioneers.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a B.A. in English Literature from University of Texas at Tyler and Elementary Teaching Certification from Letourneau University.
