TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am in my fifteenth year of teaching. I have worked in three schools during my career, two in rural northeast Georgia and another in the Atlanta area. I have taught every grade at the high school level. I have taught resource and honors in multiple grades. I have welcomed co-teachers into my classroom and been a co-teacher.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe in setting high expectations for all students, then supporting those who need it so that all feel successful. I try to make sure that my classroom is inviting and engaging for the students and for me. I encourage collaboration and creativity. My classroom is very rarely silent. I prefer to take on more of a facilitator role as much as possible. I like for my students to do the work, seeking help from the resources in the classroom, each other, and me as needed.
