TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching high school science for the past 11 years. I have taught Honors Physics, AP Physics, Honors Chemistry and Physical Science. I love being in the classroom and while I try to inspire my students, it is often my students who inspire me.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is very hands on and lab oriented. I want my students to constantly be engaged and learn through their own experiences. I use an interactive notebook in all of my classes to help keep my students organized and in charge of their own learning. My students love having everything in one place and having a variety of approaches to one concept.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Masters of Science degree from Georgia State University and a Bachelors of Science degree from Salem College.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I absolutely love teaching and being in the classroom. I come from a family of educators. I would not be where I am today without the support of my husband and two kids. I love sharing resources with other teachers and I am hoping to reach more people by joining Teachers pay Teachers.
