I have been teaching since 1999! I'm K-12 certified in French, Italian and ESL. Most of my experience is at the High School level, but I have taught Middle School as well.
Comprehensible Input is the way to help students acquire a new language. Sometimes, I will also pull from Whole Brain Teaching and Kagan Cooperative Learning.

My Educational Philosophy: The teacher must provide students with the skills and opportunities to fully participate in the school, local, and global communities. The study of languages helps students grow, communicate, and interact in a culturally appropriate manner with others. A successful student is: actively involved in the learning process; communicates in the target language; is aware of cultural differences; queries, reasons and draws conclusions; seeks knowledge of self and subject. ALL students can acquire a second language.
