It All Started with Flubber

Together we have more than 40 years of teaching experience with students in grades K-5 - and our favorite years have been those in which we have had the privilege of teaching together. During these many years, we have served on every committee imaginable, led numerous staff and professional development sessions, and mentored several colleagues and student teachers. As educators, we always love finding new connections and ideas. We love growing and learning from our students, colleagues, and our PLN. Modeling life-long learning for our students allows them to see what it looks like in action!

We strive daily to maintain high expectations, make learning meaningful and fun, engage students in hands-on and student-led activities, and guide students to value critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity! In addition, classroom climate is huge! We know the importance of creating a classroom environment in which students feel comfortable taking risks. We also work to maintain a climate that fosters collaboration - both in and out of school. We are partners with our students and parents as they learn and grow during our time together. The biggest payoff is when former students and parents remember not just the things we did, but also how they felt while part of our classroom family - helping us to know we are making an impact!
