Is This Graded

I have been a high school English Language Arts teacher for five years. I have taught grades 10th, 11th, and 12th, and I write curriculum for our school district over the summer. In addition to teaching full-time, I tutor students and make worksheets unique to their learning abilities in order to aid them in being successful in school.

I truly believe that a warm and welcoming classroom is one where students can thrive most. While it is important to have a classroom that has a clear set of rules and boundaries, it is just as important to make sure students know that they can be free to express themselves.

I love seeing the smiles on students faces when they finally "get it" and have successfully mastered a concept they've been working so hard on. I've made it my personal mission to create worksheets, assignments, and units that are centered around making those "got it" moments possible, as much as possible!
