TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had the pleasure to grow in educations with over 30 years teaching, mentoring and professional development to support school readiness and students with disabilities. I have been elected to state and national education boards and served various leadership roles. During my journey I have been contracted to write state adopted science supplemental curriculum, as well as many contracted projects such as LEAs for language and special needs, National YWCA After School curriculum, and School Readiness Curriculum Guides. I have spoken in trainings and keynotes nationally.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Collaborative,some directive, hand-on, visual models, modalities with partner, small group and group discussions. I utilize the gradual release model for some instruction, the CRA model for mathematics, the focus is always critical thinking skills and real world connections.
