I began my teaching career in 1998. During my 10 years of classroom teaching experience, I have worked with students from kindergarten to 5th grade. I have also worked as a Library Media Specialist for 11 years. I love being able to say that, EVERYONE is my student. I love inspiring students to appreciate the love of learning. Hopefully, this will be my legacy to them. In addition to teaching, I enjoy creating planning resources especially geared towards those in education. Be sure to check our these resources, designed to help you organize your teaching life!
I believe in a simple recipe for student success. Show a personal interest in every student, motivate students to learn with engaging lessons, and remember that students will not rise to low expectations.
Published twice in "Who's Who Among American Teachers".
I received my Bachelor's degree in teaching from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee. I received my Masters in Library Science degree from Texas Woman's University.
In addition to my love of reading, I enjoy crafting. You might even say that I'm a craftaholic! You can check out some of my creations, many just for teachers, at inspiredapple.com or find me on Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/inspiredappleco.
