Inside This Musicbox

I am currently teaching 7 - 12 boys as a classroom music teacher in Sydney, Australia. I graduated from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2016 and my work has been used as an exemplar for "Teaching Junior Secondary Music", "Senior Secondary Music", "Technology in Music Education", "Popular Music Studies", and "Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Music". My work was also featured in lectures gives by Dr. James Humberstone at the 2013 Apple Distinguished Educators Global Summit in San Diego and the 2014 MusTek conference in Oslo. I completed Orff Level 1 (2017) and Level 2 (2018) through OrffNSW and ANCOS.

I am super passionate above designing lessons where engagement and relevance are at the forefront. My desire is for every student to feel they can have success, no matter their experience level before they joined my class, so differentiation is incredibly important to me. I am an advocate for the meaningful use of technology in the classroom and love sharing ideas with other teachers.

At the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (The University of Sydney) I earned my Bachelor of Music (Music Education), with principle study in Composition in 2016.
