I have worked in several different special education settings and have just started a resource room position at a Jr. high school. During my experience in special education I have seen the need for products needed for remedial skills with students. I try to create products that can be used for these purposes, as well as in a general education setting.
I love direct instruction, the kids just learn so much. But I also like to mix in my own materials for the kids to get in more practice. I like to try to find materials that really support the student's goals. If they don't exist, I'll make them.

I got a degree in psychology from Central Washington University and worked in the non-profit sector with at risk kids for several years. I then got my teaching certificate from the University of Washington.
I love working with students and work hard to meet their educational needs. I knew what it is like for teachers to use materials for teaching that they are not passionate about. I try to ensure that I create activities and lessons that I love to use, so that my students will love to learn.
