TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching full-time for 24 years, and have taught grades 6 - 8. I am currently teaching 8th Grade U.S. and North Carolina history. I have a passion for integrating technology into my classroom and love the enthusiasm it creates in my students. I have written curriculum for the county school system, developed professional development courses for Discovery Education, presented teacher workshops at annual conferences, and during my free time, I am a tour director.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I enjoy trying new ideas and often attend conferences to learn from the best. I try to integrate technology, lectures, primary documents, text work, videos, and speakers into my units.
