I am currently in the middle of my 4th year teaching 5th grade science. My first 3 years I taught 5th grade science and social studies. I also have a passion for math and have experience in this area as well. I am very tech savy and love more than anything to create fun slides for any and all occasions.
I am a really go with the flow type of teacher. I depend it all on my current class and how they are feeling.I love to make, create, prepare and do lots of hands on stations, labs, and experiments for my students. When the do hands on lessons, the simple physical touch of them being involved does something special for them and it just clicks. I am extremely over the top organized and definitely Type A. I love organizing things, making labels, or anything I cam find a use to make something for.
I am still very new to the profession, but as of my 2nd year teaching, I have been invited to be a member of the grades 3-5 Science Cadre team. We help look over the curriculum and perfect it and do all the things science teachers in our district depend on.
I graduated both high school and college in the lone star state. I grew up a very competitive, sport loving, child. I competed with a well known local all star cheer gym for about 10 years. I was really involved in volleyball from a young age until I reached high school and really had to make a full commitmment to one of them. I am a very competitive person, and love to make everything a fun little challenge.
I could not be more of a basic representation of a millennial teacher. LED lights surround my classroom, I am Taylor Swift obsessed (yes I am a swiftie), and anything sports related peaks my interest very quickly, especially the NFL (Go Cowboys!)
