I started teaching in second grade. I taught for 2 years before switching gears and moving into part time administration and part time teaching in Early Childhood. I took on the role as Early Childhood Coordinator and a preschool teacher of 3s and 4s for 4 years. I then transferred into the role of business ownership and opened up a child care center with a friend of mine. I have been in the new role of ownership for about 2 years. My role is helping supervise all areas and managing administrative work.
My style of teaching is play-based learning. I feel this is the highest level of learning that can take place. I find the most passion out of teaching, guiding, and focuses on social-emotional learning in young children.
I double majored in undergraduate school with a degree in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Education. I have also a Master's degree in Parent Education with a specialty in spirituality, wellness, and healing.
I grew up on a farm and enjoy doing things outside. I enjoy traveling, reading, crafts, napping, and riding horse. I found teaching as my passion when I was in high school and enjoy every day no matter what. There is always something new to learn!
