I have been in education for 20+ years. After earning a bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences with a concentration in Speech Pathology, I worked for 10 years as a Speech/Language Assistant (SLPA) in a pre-k-6th grade elementary school setting. I then completed my masters in Special Education and for the last 9 years I have worked in a K-6th grade school setting specializing in primary (K-3) Mild Interventions.
My teaching style focuses on building positive relationships with my students, their parents/guardians, and the staff members I collaborate with on a daily basis. My goal is to always have high expectations for each of my students and to teach them grade level curriculum while meeting them at their ability level. Often a challenge of mine is to find and create modified activities and lessons that will meet each student need. That is what I hope to offer on my TPT page, resources that can meet every child's academic need. My areas of expertise include: Speech & Language, Interventions, Modifications, Data Collection, & Behavior.
