I have over 20 years teaching experience in an Irish-medium primary school. I have taught a variety of class levels and spent three and a half years as acting principal of the school. I currently teach 1st class and I am the Deputy Principal.
I love to get my pupils excited about the topics we study and I find ICT an invaluable resource in order to achieve this. I'm a big fan of the thematic approach and try to plan accordingly.

I graduated from Mary Immaculate College, Limerick in 2001 with a Bachelor of Education and Irish with a curriculum specialisation in ICT. After 9 years teaching I decided to add to my qualifications and undertook a Graduate Diploma in Information & Communication Technology in Primary Education again in Mary Immaculate College, Limerick in 2010. I learned so much on this course and it reignited my love for ICT. The following year I was conferred with a Masters of Education in Information & Communication Technology in Primary Education. My dissertation investigated the impact of the Interactive Whiteboard on pupils' attainment and enjoyment in the curricular area of History.
