TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I teach multiple grades in a contained classroom at a small Christian school in Nebraska. I am passionate about helping my students learn and discover who they are as people through collaboration, visual illustrations, and fun activities. I hope that what I have found to be useful will be helpful for you, too!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I like to think that I have a creative teaching style. I'm always searching for new ways to teach the same materials, ways to make learning fun and exciting for my students. I try to incorporate various learning styles in my methods in order to accommodate every student. I'm open to suggestions because I believe that collaboration is a vital component to any successful teaching career.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

York College Dean's List (4 years running!) Shining Teacher Moment: community involvement found art project (grades 6-8) Teacher of the Year nominee 2015, 2016, 2017

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I graduated Northwest High School in 2010 and graduated from York College in 2014. I also attended small, rural public schools in Montana for most of my childhood and began high school at an even smaller private school before moving to Nebraska during my sophomore year of high school.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I was born in Nebraska, raised in Montana, and I'm a little bit of everything! A little country, a little rock 'n' roll, more than a little nerdy, and a lot unique! But, hey, who isn't unique, right? That's what makes the world so great! I hope that you will find some lesson plans and tools here that you can use in your classrooms, as I know that TpT has been a HUGE help to me in my teaching experiences. Happy planning, everyone! :)
