TEACHING EXPERIENCE

For the past twenty years, I have taught many children about life in the form of ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I approach teaching by allowing my students to experience the concepts that we talk about in class. There tends to be lots of inquiry and critical thinking in my classroom. I expect my students to work up to their full potential in the classroom. In my classroom I use a combination of PowerPoint presentations, cooperative group activities, and labs.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I am a Discovery Educator Network teacher and a member of the LSTA and the NSTA. I have been a presenter at state LSTA conferences and Regional and National NSTA conferences.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I am a graduate of Louisiana State University and hold a current Louisiana teaching certificate.
