I have taught high school since 2005-2006. I create almost all my own materials because doing so helps me think through the questions, "What do I most want students to get out of this lesson?" and "What questions are they likely to have as we go through this topic?" I include insights gained in my teacher notes and directions. Courses that I have taught (and therefore developed the curriculum for and differentiated to multiple academic levels) are pre-algebra, algebra 1, algebra 2, general science, physics, and chemistry.
Mostly lecture-demo with a healthy dose of labs and activities that get students moving around because sitting all day sucks.

"Fudge factor" hits several aspects of my life beautifully: science-teacher, candy-maker, house-fixer, father of several boys. My store photo is a sculpture of Moses that I saw in Italy with my wife in 2011 that shows him with horns, indicating a mistranslation from Hebrew in which he was said to have a halo, but the Renaissance-era Italians thought the word meant "horns". It amuses me.
