TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been working with preschoolers with disabilities for over 8 years. I am currently a teacher in a preschool disabled classroom servicing 3-5 year olds. Since this is an AM session only in my district, my afternoons have been dedicated to many different positions over the past 6 years of teaching in my district. I have taught a pre-k 4 year old class, a transitional kindergarten class, resource room for K-1 students, and co-taught in a preschool inclusion classroom. My district is small, so we change to meet the needs of our population- I love the change every year and the challenges that come with it!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My approach is to meet every child where they are developmentally and do everything I can to take them to the next level. I always try to introduce new concepts through multiple modalities: visually, auditory and physically. Addressing IEP goals through a developmentally appropriate approach defines my teaching.
