TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a certified K-6 teacher in Connecticut with a Master's degree. I have taught fourth, fifth and sixth grades. I currently teach 5th grade math and science.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love injecting real world examples into all of my lessons. I am a heavy user of technology so most of my lessons have a technological element to them. I put all of my lessons on my classroom website including tutorial videos (www.homeworknook.com). My role is to spark an interest in learning and let the students discover the material.

In 2015-16 I received Teacher of the Year for my school district. Prior to that I received a TAPS recognition award and I am a member of Pi Lamda Theta.
