I am fairly traditional, always emphasising the fundamentals (e.g., reading and comprehension, conducting historical analysis, writing paragraphs and essays, etc.). I always strive to encourage the use of primary and secondary resources, with the intention of engendering a love of what E.H. Carr referred to as a "never ending dialogue between the present and the past."
