TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed teaching 1st grade for 14 years. I hold a Masters in Administration and Supervision and my Administrative Credential (but don't see myself leaving the classroom anytime soon.)

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe when you create a safe, fun, and inviting learning environment you unlock a child's true potential. The ability to take risks without fear of failure makes for the best learning opportunities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been named the best first grade teacher, in my classroom, by my students, for 14 consecutive years. I have also been awarded our regional reading associations "Lighthouse for Literacy" award. Additionally, one of the local Mexican food restaurants named a burrito on their menu after me.(Completely unrelated to teaching, but still notable.)

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I got my Bachelors degree from California State University Monterey Bay. I earned a Masters in Administration and Supervision (along with my Tier I Administrative credential) at San Jose State University.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

Happy to be here, happy to be married to my lovely wife (who is also a teacher), and happy to spend my non-teaching time with my baby daughter.
