Hello Teacher Friends! I’m Missy, and I have created nearly all of the math and science resources that I use in my 5th grade classroom everyday. I want to save you time and energy by sharing them with you! If you want to spend more time with your family, but still have engaging and rigorous resources, then you are in the right place! Becoming a teacher had always been a desire of mine and I’m glad that after raising my children, I finally made it happen. In 2017, I found myself in the 5th grade classroom where I still teach today. After my first year of teaching, I found myself creating resources for my classroom. In 2020, during the pandemic, my product creation exploded. Now I rarely use any resources that I didn’t create or co create with another teacher on my team. I find that students learn better and work harder when they have a good relationship with their teacher. I accomplish that by using humor and animation whenever possible. I also do my best to celebrate small wins with my students. Most of my success in the classroom is because I keep my lessons short, offer small group support, and follow regular classroom procedures. This means students know what to expect and they know they will always get the support they need to be successful.

I am a mom of 3 children and a wife to my husband of 30 years! We live in a rural area and enjoy hiking, playing games and going to the beach. I get a lot of satisfaction from teaching. It is a hard job, but most days it doesn't feel like a job because I enjoy it so much.
