TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a National Board Certified Teacher in my tenth year of teaching high school social studies at Janesville High School, in Janesville, IA. In my years of teaching I have taught all high school grade levels, and have taught U.S. History, World History, World Geography, Sociology, Economics, American Government, Psychology, Sociology, World History and Geography, and Character and Leadership Development. In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I also coach cross country and junior high track.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love seeing kids get excited about what they are learning. I prefer to give them the knowledge and tools they need to succeed, and then give them the chance to practice their skills and knowledge through various projects and other activities. Many of the products found in my store involve giving students the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge through the creation of different projects, presentations, or activities.

I graduated magna cum laude from the University of Northern Iowa, where I received my B.A. in History Education in 2012. In 2019 I graduated with my MAT from Morningside College.
