I currently teach 3rd grade in Long Island, New York. I have been teaching for over 25 years and have experience with the intermediate levels, general education, and special education.
My teaching style is built upon the relationships I foster with my students. I try my best to create a structured, yet nurturing environment. This allows me to successfully teach the academic subjects, while fostering courage, kindness, and confidence in my students. I believe in creating a mindful classroom driven by a growth mindset.
I was honored to receive the Elementary Teacher of the Year award in the 2019-2020 school year.
I have earned a BS in Speech and Language Pathology, along with a dual MS in Elementary (K-6) and Special Education (K-12). I also have a SEL*F Certificate and Yoga Instructor Certification.
My most important job is being a mother to my 3 amazing children. I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, sunny days at the beach, and of course, teaching.
