TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 25 years. I first starting my teaching career in Texas. I was there for six years, where I met my husband (also a teacher). I moved back home to Illinois when my son was born. I have been in the same district since 2004.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching! It makes me happy to see the students coming to my classroom excited about learning. I can't wait to share my passion for reading with them. I love seeing how students grow, both emotional and academically, throughout the year. My classroom is filled with fun, humor, hard work, and of course, adventure!

I have been married since 2000 to my awesome husband Patrick. He is a Jr. High History Teacher in the same district.I have a two children. My daughter is a swimmer, and my son plays soccer and plays the trombone. I am a big reader, reading books for myself, and of course to find new stories to share with my students and my own kids. I love spending time with my family.
