I hold a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education along with an endorsement in English/Language Arts. I am qualified to teach middle school within the special and general education classrooms. I have worked with students in various locations in the state of Illinois from inner city Chicago to rural downstate. My first teaching job was in a Life Skills Special Education class. I spent two years working with students with developmental disabilities. After completing the school year in 2015, I moved to Glasgow, Scotland. I lived there for 3 months until I found a teaching job in Birmingham, England. For one year I worked as a Year 2 teacher in a Primary school in England. After traveling some of Europe, I caught the travel bug and I am currently teaching ESL in Southern Thailand!
I believe that all students can learn when provided the adequate learning resources. Enriching a child's education with varied resources, activities and lessons can help connect with almost all learners.
I am a Golden Apple Scholar of Illinois along with a Kappa Delta Pi International Education Society Recipient. Since teaching, I have been recognized and awarded teacher of the Month in my local area.
Proud Alumni of Western Illinois University!
I love to travel, play tennis, bake and make crafts. I am taking year off from teaching to travel. During this time I will be creating all of the curriculum enhancements I wish I would have had time to make during my years in the classroom. Any suggestions, requests, or help, feel free to message me. My goal is to add to and enhance the standard curriculum of public schools.
